Minutes of the meeting of 9/21/16
Meeting Opened at: 11am
Select Board Members Present: Kenn Basler, Chairperson, Steve Weisz and Carol Edelman
Also in attendance: Ray Tryon
Miscellaneous Items Reviewed:
1. The Board reviewed and signed the special town meeting warrant. Ray Tryon, Constable was present to sign and distribute.
2. Steve reported on his site visit at the school with M.D. Amstead and Shawn Tryon with regards to the repairs that need to be made. Everyone approves of Mark doing the work once an estimate is received.
3. Steve reported that a representative from Frontier Communications is interested in coming in to present to the Board. Discussion ensued about the broadband article on the special town meeting warrant as well as Monterey’s options for wiring the town.
4. The Board had a brief discussion about the police department and the increase in speeding on RT 23. The Chief will be invited to the October 5th meeting to continue the discussions.
5. The October Select Board Corner was approved.
6. Kenn informed the Board of his conversations with the Dept of Fish and Game with regards to applying for a demo culvert class in Monterey.
7. Treasury warrants were signed.
8. Minutes from 9/6 & 9/14/16 were approved.
9. Administrative Assistant’s weekly report was reviewed.
10. Police Chief’s weekly report was reviewed.
A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 12:48pm
